Saturday, July 16, 2016 Refugee and Immigration Services Volunteer Orientation & Training

A Volunteer Orientation & Training for new volunteers interested in serving with Lutheran Services of Georgia Refugee and Immigration Services is scheduled for Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon at the Lutheran Services of Georgia office in downtown Atlanta. This monthly orientation and training is offered for all new volunteers who must attend before a volunteer placement will be made by LSG.

Topics will include:

• Overview of LSG Refugee and Immigration Services
  
• Understanding Refugees and Resettlement
• Creating a Culture of Welcome
• Effective Staff - Refugee - Volunteer Collaboration
